Not a super flexy slender Yoga chick talks "the Power of Objectivity"

Ever found yourself so deep in a situation that you might as well have set up a tent and lived there? Of course you have. You are a human, not a celestial being with a 360 degree view.
The tricky part is that we rarely notice when we have lost all objectivity. That is usually when we start doing questionable things. Enter "the friends"! If you have a group of people who can lovingly roast you with the truth, hold on to them. These humans are gold.
But here comes the plot twist. Can you actually handle their honesty without turning into a moody cartoon character? If not, they will eventually stop trying. And then what? If your friends cannot be honest with you, how are you supposed to be honest with yourself? The concept is simple, but putting it into action is another story.
First step, give yourself some distance from the situation, both physically and emotionally if possible. There is an energy thread that ties you to everything you are involved in. The closer you stand to it, the tighter the knot, and the harder it becomes to see anything clearly.
Second step, imagine lifting yourself above the whole scene, like an eagle gliding over a forest. From up there, you see every path, every detail, every little thing you have been ignoring because you were too busy being tangled in the branches. This gives you a full picture instead of a close up of chaos.
Third step (three is enough, we do not need a full life manual today), imagine a friend coming to you with the exact same story you are drowning in. What would you tell them? That is usually the moment where the truth smacks you gently on the cheek.
Still, very few people dare to do this kind of inner work. Playing the victim is so much easier. Making excuses is practically a national sport. So we stay stuck in situations that drain us, or we complain about situations that are actually great because we cannot see clearly.
Objectivity is not for the faint hearted. It is a bold move. It is like telling the universe, "mirror, mirror on the wall, reveal the truth behind it all" (I am honestly still impressed by how poetic that sounds 🤣).
So the real questions are: are you ready to see the truth behind it all? And once you do, are you brave enough to act on it?
