Not a super flexy slender Yoga chick talks "the Power of Words"

Have you ever said or thought a word and immediately felt it in your body? Like, viscerally? As if it wasn’t just a thought, but an action? That’s because words carry power. They hold energy. They vibrate at a frequency that your body feels.
Your mind produces around 60,000 thoughts a day. Most of them you’re not even aware of. The mind just floats around unchecked, dropping in lines like:
"What should I have for dinner?"
"I really can't stand the color red."
"Maybe I need a haircut."
"I’m bored."
"I need a break."
"This is too hard, I can’t do it, I’ll fail."
"Ooooh, look, chocolate."
Sound familiar?
Not only do these thoughts create mental clutter and tension, but every single one has a frequency and leaves a trace. What’s more concerning is that 75 to 80% of these thoughts are negative, and about 90% are repetitive. You’re literally reliving the same thoughts, feelings, and reactions over and over again.
And then we ask ourselves: why isn’t anything changing? Why does life feel like Groundhog Day?
Here’s the trick: start paying attention to your words, especially your thoughts, but also your spoken language. Become the observer. Then start to shift the pattern toward the positive:
"I don’t want to be poor" becomes "I am working toward financial abundance."
"I’m so bad at this, I’ll never get the job/house/partner" becomes "I know I have what it takes, and I am focusing on my strengths."
Your brain doesn’t know the difference between thought and reality. It produces the same chemical response whether something is actually happening or you’re just imagining it. So use that to your advantage.
When you’re clear on what you want, FEEL IT AS IF IT HAD ALREADY HAPPENED. This is where vision boards come in. Having a visual reminder in your space brings your dream closer every day. The more you connect emotionally with your desired reality, the more your brain believes it's already real and starts working toward it.
You can start small or big. The important thing is that you start.
Meditate for 5 minutes a day to get familiar with your thoughts.
Make a vision board.
Create a money jar and drop something in it every time you catch yourself in negative thinking.
Or, if you're one of the "hardcore" types, wear an elastic band on your wrist and give it a little snap when you catch a self-defeating thought (not my favorite, but hey, whatever works for you).
Encourage yourself. Motivate yourself. Be your biggest fan. You’re with yourself 24/7. Wouldn’t it be amazing if you actually liked the person you spend all your time with?
